Reaching kids with the Gospel of Christ and Training them to serve him!

What is AWANA?

AWANA is our mid-week environment for kids agaes Preschool – 6th grade where they can study and learn Biblical truths on their level.. all while having a blast and building relationships that will last a lifetime!

The word “AWANA” is an acronym that stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed. The ministry is based on 2 Timothy 2:15 – “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

A Few Things You’ll Want to Know:

When does awana start and end?

Kids can begin checking in at 6:30pm and AWANA will
finish around 8:15pm.

How do I get my kid checked in
on a Wednesay night?

Your child’s safety is VERY important to us!
We ask that you walk your child into the church each night. Clubbers (the kids) will check-in at specific classrooms depending on their age and gender.

What about before & after?

Your child’s safety is VERY important to us!
Due to us having no supervision for your child prior to 6:30 nor after 8:15, we ask that you supervise your child before and after AWANA.

Where do I go to pick up my kid?

You clubber can be checked out from the same room that they checked in at.

I have heard about “theme nights” – What are those?

AWANA is already a blast – BUT.. we always try to take the awesomeness up a notch! One way we do this is through special theme nights where we encourage clubbers and our volunteers to maybe dress-up like a cow (for Chick-Fil-A Night), bring a friend (for B.A.R.F. Night.. you have to come to find out what that means!), or maybe bring a can of food to donate to the food bank (for “Longest Line Night”). THOSE ARE ONLY A FEW OF OUR THEME NIGHTS! Check out our AWANA Calendar at the
bottom of the page to see all the theme nights and any details you might want to know.

What does each night at AWANA consist of?

Each night at AWANA, clubbers will participate in three segments divided by age group:
1. Council Time
This is a time where clubbers will hear a Biblical message tought on their level by one of our AWANA Leaders.
2. Handbook Time
This is the “small group” portain of AWANA where clubbers break up into small groups with an AWANA Leader (or two) and discuss what they heard in counsel time and work through their handbook to memorize scripture and internalize the
principles that they hopefully carry with them for the rest of their lives. AS PARENTS, YOU CAN EXPERIENCE PART OF HANDBOOK TIME AT HOME! Be sure to work through your clubbers handbook with them and help them memorize
scripture and talk with them about spiritual things. We would love to partner with your family and help you have those conversations with your family!
3. Game Time
While the heartbeat of AWANA is found in Counsel Time & Handbook Time, AWANA just wouldn’t be the same without GAMETIME! This is where each age group comes together for high-energy team competition and age-appropiate games that
vary from week to week.

How do I find out where I need to check in and check out my child at?
