Last summer, approximately 35 students and adults made their way to southwest corner of our state to a little town called Bainbridge, Georgia and little did we know that many of us would come away forever changed as a result of our missions efforts. When we go on missions trips our goal is to help others and minister in Jesus’ name. The 2012 Global Missions Trip was no different. We had the opportunity to minister alongside the Friendship House of Jesus as we mentored school-aged children and shared the message of Christ’s love.  However, many of us didn’t foresee how God would use this trip to break our hearts for a hurting world that desperately needs Jesus. My prayer is that you will prayerfully consider registering for the 2013 Global Mission Trip as we return back to Bainbridge and the Friendship House of Jesus anticipating God to once again do miraculous things in our midst. Wednesday Nights are absolutely electric at Trinity Baptist Church. The place begins buzzing with Family Night Supper being served from 5:45 to 6:30. AWANA is offered for children pre-school through 6^th grade from 6:45 to 8:15 (sign-in begins at 6:30). EMERGE Student Worship for middle and high-school students begins in the Student Center (upstairs in Family Life Center) at 6:45. Adults gather at 7:00 for prayer and digging a little deeper into the Scriptures.

These mid-week services play a vital role in helping us to accomplish our mission of leading people to know, love, and serve God through a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

1/18/13 Update: We are ALMOST done with the construction of Toddler Town, and we are pumped about what God is doing and is going to do in our Children’s Ministry and in the rest of our Church this year! We hope you and your family come to join us on a Sunday morning soon!

As I write this article our students are just returning from Bainbridge, GA where they worked with local Baptist Churches and a ministry called the Friendship House. Through mentoring, ministry, service projects, and leading in worship they were able to “love loud” in Jesus name. And we are only half-way through the summer! July 1 is our annual God and Country service, which provides us the opportunity to celebrate our Christian heritage as a nation and show our appreciation to the local and state public servants and unsung heroes.

Finally, we will close out the summer schedule with our annual Kids Camp. We are headed back to the North Georgia Christian Camp near Helen July 28 – August 1. At camp kids have an absolute blast, are introduce to the Gospel, and equipped to grow in their walk with Christ.

Here at Trinity we believe that true, lasting life change and spiritual growth occurs when people simply live life together. A great way to get involved with a group of God-loving people is to get plugged into a LIFE group.

LIFE Groups are small groups for all ages that meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30. They are designed to integrate the following elements which are vital to individual, spiritual growth and total church health:

L – Learning the Scriptures

I – Intercessory Prayer and Support

F – Fellowship

E – Evangelism and Outreach
